Parish Plan - Warnham Parish Design Statement
The Parish Plan published last year set out
an agenda for the development of the parish, covering
social, community, recreation and environmental aspirations.
A steering group of parish members has now prepared a Parish
Design Statement. The steering group comprises parish
volunteers and has been guided by government documentation
and advice from Horsham District Council Planning
Department.
The Parish Design Statement focuses on the
implementation of Plan policies concerned with the style and
design of any future construction in the parish: domestic,
commercial or agricultural. Its purpose is to ensure that
future construction and development builds upon the parish
heritage and incorporates the highest qualities in planning,
design and materials. It is not about what or where
development may occur nor does it seek to stop innovation.
The Parish Design Statement has been informed by the
responses from residents to the Parish Plan questionnaires.
The Design Statement is at draft stage and will be subject
to public consultation in the parish and to statutory
consultation by Horsham District Council. Copies of the
draft will be circulated to clubs and organisations within
the parish and the draft will also be available in text form
on the parish website. All members of the parish are welcome
to have a printed copy of the draft and comment freely on
its contents and proposed design guidelines. It is planned
to hold an open morning at the Village Hall to receive
comments and discuss the contents of the Design Statement.
The draft Design Statement is in
two parts and
can be seen below.
If you would like to receive a printed copy
of the draft for review and comment please inform John
Hamer, (01403 265088) Chairman of the Steering Group, or
Roger Purcell (01403 267605), or any other member of the
Steering Group.
